Eva Clarke Visit

The History groups had an amazing experience on Wednesday 26 February when they met the wonderful Eva Clarke and heard the story of her mother’s experiences during the Holocaust. Eva herself is a survivor – just – having been born on the back of a coal truck at the Mauthausen Death Camp in Austria. Eva weighed just 3lb and her mum Anka only 5 stone. It was a miracle that they survived.
After Eva’s talk, the students wrote about their thoughts on the talk; they then wanted to share them with Eva, who was very impressed.
